A federal judge ruled in favor of CNN and reporter Jim Acosta in a dispute with President Trump. The judge ordered the White House to temporarily restore the press credentials that the Trump administration had taken away from Jim Acosta last week.
The heated exchange between Acosta and Trump made headlines, bringing into question the media’s ability to question the President of the United States.
On Tuesday, CNN sued President Trump and other White House officials for revoking his press credentials.
On Friday, November 16, Judge Timothy J Kelly, granted CNN’s motion for a temporary restraining order that will prevent the administration from keeping Acosta off White House grounds.
The ruling that Judge Kelly handed down, gives Acosta the ability to enter White House grounds immediately with a possible trial to come in the future.
